35°00′N  139°00′E — GREAT CRUISE DAO Philosophy

The chance to touch the sea, and the freedom to set sail — for everyone.

What we believe, and why we sail.

Purpose

Until now, the world of the sea — boats, fishing ports, marinas, and the places and systems tied to the ocean — has belonged to a handful of experts and owners. We are here to break that closed boundary line. By bringing idle ships and harbors back to life, we are building the infrastructure for a new age — one where anyone can use, enjoy, and live by the sea, as a matter of course.

Our One Phrase
Step Aboard.
Once you've half-boarded a ship, don't hesitate — climb aboard.

The moment your heart turns toward a ship, board it before you go looking for reasons. A step, over hesitation. Beyond your curiosity lies a sea no one has seen yet. Every decision we make comes down to this one line.

Mission 01 — Why we exist

Bring back, to every single person, the chance to touch the sea and the freedom to set sail.

The sea is not a privilege for the few. We connect learning, ownership, and use into one, link those who hold knowledge with those who hold assets, and build an entrance where anyone can reach the joys of the sea.

Vision 02 — The world we create

Create an age — the Great Cruise Era — where everyone uses the sea as a matter of course.

New technologies stack up; institutions that have served their purpose are quietly replaced by the next best thing. The line between sea and land dissolves, and you can travel anywhere, by any means. That age, we call the Great Cruise Era.

Value
01
Once you've half-boarded a ship, don't hesitate — climb aboard.
A ship you've come to care about. Trust your instinct, and learn to sail it.
02
Throw away your own shame; respect the shame of others.
Your own shame binds your action, so let it go. But never become someone else's shame, and never toy with it.
03
What the sea teaches is to always move forward.
Fishermen know the danger of the sea and the terror of storms. Even so, that is no reason to stay ashore.
Code of Conduct
01
Put action that touches the sea first.

Online buzz is only a means to increase the number of people who actually touch the sea. First, you go out to sea yourself.

02
Take part as a co-creator.

Participation that only receives is not our mainstream. Take a step, move your hands, speak up, propose. It's fine to start by just watching.

03
Question alignment with the mission, every time.

We don't move on "looks fun" or "looks like it'll grow" alone. Every time, we ask: does this serve the mission? — and find the courage to decline what drifts.

Captain’s Message
From here, the wake is drawn not by me, but by you. Take this ship called JUNO MARE, and this network, and use them however your free imagination leads.
